Drop off
Hello parents and welcome to Spartan Soccer Academy 2025!
On behalf of the coaching staff, we cannot wait for the training to begin Monday! We have an action-packed week scheduled for your child and are excited to share some new content and also reminders of what is to come. There are a lot of enhancements and updates this year, so whether you are a new or returning Spartan Footballer, please read all of the below:
Please drive via the High School or Park entrances down to the Field Road parking lot. See the map below/attached. There will be a lane of cones parallel to the field fence; please drive into the lane and wait your turn at the front of line to drop off. There will be Spartan Soccer Academy Coaches in bright pink shirts, checking kids in. Should you arrive early for drop off or pick up, please line up and wait for your turn. We are enhancing this process this year to ensure safety for all.
On the first day and only the first day, check in will be 8:45 to 9:15 a.m. at the drop off area. Parents: please stay in your vehicle. An SSA coach will come up to your window to confirm all the details.
Should you need early drop off or late pick up, you can register your child for that by clicking here and that is $10 per session per day paid in cash on day 1.
The pickup process will be the same as drop off.
Stay up to Date
We will be using social media to share live action, daily updates, promotions, content, and contests, so please follow on Instagram (SpartanSoccer), Facebook (SpartanSoccerAcademy), and or Tik Tok (SpartanSoccerAcademy).
As an example, we will be giving away a free week of 2026 camp—follow for that announcement later this week!
Jersey personalization: we offer the opportunity to get a name & number ($25 cash or check) personalization on your player’s jersey. To order that, please click here to fill out the form. Typically and ideally the jersey will be ready for Wednesday jersey day.
Unlimited Water Pass: Busy parent and don’t want to be bothered to be worried about how much water to send your footballer with to camp? Register here and let us provide water all week for your camper.
We have a Snack Shack open all week, where parents can load the players account with money on Monday. There will be food, drinks, apparel items, and Bumpa Built exclusives for sale, so please check out the website and social media spots for details.
Rain Policy: We train regardless of weather, up to moderate rain. If the field is compromised and unsafe or the rain is heavy, then we will move indoors to the cafeteria at Somers High School. We will try to wait out the weather, but if we cannot, then we will email and call parents to coordinate early dismissal.
If there is lightning, we will move to cover and wait at least 30 minutes. If there is no additional lightning then we will resume training outdoors; if there is a second lighting sighting within the 30 minutes, then we will move indoors and follow the above protocol.
Camp will end at 2:45 if we move for any extended time indoors. You will be notified by email and or phone if we move indoors.
Please have your child bring a change of clothes stored in a plastic bag and indoor shoes appropriate for the gymnasium floor.
Thing to Know
What to bring: to be prepared and ready for each day, your athlete should bring his or her soccer appropriate footwear, shin guards, plenty of sugar-free drinks, snacks, a packed lunch in a container to keep the food cool, and a smile on their face. It is likely going to be a hot week, and the kids will need to stay properly hydrated! Please purchase the Unlimited Water Pass or err on the side of sending too much water than not enough.
What NOT to bring: a soccer ball, soda or other sugary juices
Pick up is promptly at 3:30 p.m. (11:30 a.m. for Junior Spartans). Should you be running late or unavailable, please call me, Rick Kelley (413.265.0340) or Camp Director, Samantha Brown (860.716.7424), as soon as possible.
